Art Club is an ongoing workshop with monthly events to explore various artistic media and techniques. Attendees will learn alongside professional artist and adjunct Professor Devin DuMond, have dedicated time/space to create, and the incentive to continue working throughout the month on their piece to share at the next gathering. Second Saturday of each month.

Each week will have a specific area of focus, a demo and handout to further that area of study, plus plenty of time to draw and create with a live model. Wednesdays in July.

Explore the beauty of illustrating plants & flowers from life using a variety of media! Drawing techniques taught and demonstrated by professional illustrator, fine artist, and professor Devin DuMond. Each week we will explore a different medium and attendees will leave with their own 5” x 7” piece of art. Supplies included!
Learn the fundamentals of Graphic Design using the industry’s top design software, Adobe InDesign. Topics include principles of design, typography, visual hierarchy, page layout, and more. Students will create business cards, fliers, and multi-page designs, as well as learning how to export to PDF.

This introductory course will start at the very beginning with how to set-up a new document, navigating the workspace, and using InDesign tools. From there, we will work on simple page layouts—including adding images and typography—to saving PDF files and exporting for web.
